Before Fame
She started out at a tanning salon, then found work at a sake bar where the women had to wear short skirts. On her 18th birthday, she took a job at a kyabakura (hostess club) as a kyabajo ("club girl," or hostess) in Yokohama, before moving to a better one in Roppongi. Her parents asked her to leave home, so she moved to Tokyo.
