Stephanie Abrams has been actively working for The Weather Channel since 2003. 

Abrams’ first work was as a morning meteorologist at WTXL in Tallahassee, Florida, an ABC affiliate.

Stephanie started working for The Weather Channel as a fill-in and reporter in July 2003, a position Abrams held until 2005, when she joined her first show, Weekend View, as a co-host.

She started her career as an on-camera meteorologist in 2006 as a co-host of Abrams and Bettes: Beyond the Forecast and later moved on to Weather Center with Mike Bettes.

She began co-hosting Wake Up With Al Roker on weekday mornings from NBC studios in New York on July 20, 2009. Abrams also subbed for Al Roker on Today and joined Sam Champion on America’s Morning Headquarters (AMHQ) on occasion.

She and Roker covered the 2010 Winter Olympics live from Vancouver for Wake Up With Al and AMHQ from February 8 to 28.

After Wake Up With Al was canceled in 2015, Abrams went back to work at the Weather Channel’s Atlanta studios.

One of her followers inquired about dieting, and she revealed that she is a vegetarian, so she supplements her diet of vegetables and fruits with plant-based proteins. She said that eating vegetables made her body feel “zillions” better.
