Michael B. Jordan has been issued a stark warning by his girlfriend's adoptive dad, Steve Harvey.
Harvey spoke about his daughter, Lori Harvey's relationship with Jordan on The Ellen Show, and largely spoke about his fondness of the actor, but he was also sure to play the overprotective father too.
Jordan and Lori Harvey have been dating since November 2020, and Harvey seems to be very familiar with Jordan being part of his family now, confirming that they've now spent two Christmases together.
While speaking to Ellen DeGeneres, Harvey said: "He's a really good guy, he comes from a good family so I'm kinda pullin' for him, but at the same time, I've got my eye on him.
"I can't whoop him but if he ever turn around I'mma knock his a** out," Harvey said.
The 65-year-old Family Feud host did give the Black Panther actor a glowing review as a potential son in law though. After Jordan spent the recent holiday season with the Harveys, the comedian admitted he was impressed by the presents he gave.
Suggesting that Jordan is trying to impress the family, he said, "I'm her father, so he bought me this big 100-cigar box of the most hard to get cigars, 100 of them in this big box, and he gave that to me. He gave my wife some skis. Who do that? Only way you give your potential mother-in-law some skis is 'cause you want her to be your mother-in-law."
Jordan and Lori Harvey have been public with their relationship since January, 2021 when he posted a picture of them together to wish her a happy birthday. A month later on February 10, 2022 she returned the favor with a couple's picture, wishing Jordan a happy birthday.
Steve Harvey was made uncomfortable on The Ellen Show when she brought up a recent snap of the pair. Both Jordan and Lori Harvey shared a picture on their Instagram account of her sitting on his lap.
Harvey took his time to review the picture, "I've never seen that picture before. I'm very uncomfortable with that picture right there," he joked.
Before Jordan, Lori Harvey dated other high profile people. She dated Dutch soccer star Memphis Depay for over a year, and the pair got engaged in June 2017 but reportedly broke up later that same year. In January 2020 she confirmed she was in a relationship with the rapper Future. After they broke up in the following August, Future included lyrics about their break up in his song "Maybach."
