The couple were the only contestants to walk away empty-handed after The Block‘s record-breaking finale last month saw the other couples walk away with major profits.

With the house failing to sell, the pair have now been forced to reduce the price, which has now dropped from $3.2 million to $3.125 million in a bid to offload it to a buyer in the New Year.

It’s now been revealed that agency Buxton Hampton has reverted to a “traditional” selling campaign, hoping to sell the house to a family who are eager settle down in the area and start a new life.

“We’ve just commenced doing open for inspections over the last two weeks, swung it into, I guess, a normalised campaign,” an agent for the firm told Domain.

“We’ve had two Saturdays and two midweek opens. We haven’t been inundated with people – I thought once we opened it up we’d get a lot of fans and so forth … but we’ve had genuine people coming to have a look which has been good.

He added that things have so far been slow, saying: “Obviously just the timing and so forth it’s been a bit slower this time of the year, but it’s just converted to a traditional private sale campaign.

Leah also recently confirmed to Channel 9 that their house has yet to sell, and added that they had come “close” a number of times to having it taken off their hands, but that things had fallen through.

“No, it has not sold yet,” Leah confirmed to the channel last week.

When asked about their plans for 2024, she went on to share that the pair are far from giving up.
