When someone tells you you’re not cut out to be a Victoria’s Secret model is that really an insult? After all, there are only a select few that are chosen out of seven billion people around the globe. That’s exactly what happened to Grammy Award-winning uber star Taylor Swift after she performed at the (in)famous lingerie designer’s annual show. When model Jessica Hart was asked if Taylor could pull it off as a Victoria’s Secret model she bluntly replied, “No”. And her reasoning,
“I think, you know what, God bless her heart. I think she’s great. But I don’t know, to me, she didn’t fit. I don’t know if I should say that. I think what you find is that for a lot of us, we’ve been working for 14, 15 years; what it takes to make it here comes from experience and confidence and knowing how to be confident with yourself. I think it comes with age. It’s definitely the benchmark of all jobs.”
Not often will you see the media running to Taylor’s side, but is Jessica Hart serious? A simple, lighthearted question, and she’s dissecting it scientifically. Furthermore, if anyone has talent between Swift and Hart it’s clearly Swift. Taylor Swift has set just about every record possible in the music industry so I’m pretty sure she’s OK without being a Victoria’s Secret model.
