‘Worth the Wait’, a country-pop trio from Alabama, had a good stint in Season 19 of The Voice.
The family from Centre made up of sisters Mia and Jacy Matthews and their mother, Tara Matthews, made it to the top 17 on the NBC reality show as part of Blake Shelton’s team.

Parents
Jacy’s mother Tara Matthews has Native American origins, from the Cherokee tribe in particular. The father of those girls was originally from Hawaii.
Their father passed away when Mia and Jacy were young. We haven’t been able to find a lot of details about their father, but we do know he was a singer, and so was his dad.
Apart from that, not only does The Voice seem to be their first performance of the competition, but their first singing competition altogether. Additionally, for years, Mia and Jacy have been clogging, and they have some pretty fancy footwork.
Band Formation
This mother-daughter trio from Alabama was initially made up of three sisters called the Matthews Sisters. One day in line at a store, the sisters began an impromptu “The Star-Spangled Banner” demonstration and a fan posted a video of it that went viral.
The group was catapulted to fame by the video that helped them to start booking local gigs. Their mother took her place when Sadie, the eldest daughter, left the group to take care of her newborn son, and Worth the Wait became the trio.
‘Worth the Wait: The Voice’
In a blind audition, Worth the Wait performed “When Will I Be Loved” on November 2nd this year.
This audition prompted all four of the coaches to switch their seats around, signaling that they needed Worth the Wait in their teams. The band competed, dueting and dueling for Shelton’s (their coach) favor, against teammate Taryn Papa on November 9. The group performed “Little White Church” at that time.

Each and every contestant were vying for the viewers’ direct votes and a chance to continue on the show. But this was the end of the journey of the trio on The Voice.
